Schärfste Sauce der Welt ...

Wieder mal ein Fall von extrem schlechter Recherche. Die schärfste Sauce ist wohl immer noch "The Source" mit 7,1 Mio. SHU. Das man die Blair´s 16 Million Reserve noch als Sauce zählen kann, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Wenn doch: das Zeug hat entspannte 16 Mio. SHU.

Diese komische Sauce aus dem Artikel ist gerade einmal 100.000 SHU schärfer, wie eine normale Bhut Jolokia. Nicht, wie die behaupten:
womit sie den bisherigen Weltrekordhalter, die Bhut Jolokia Sauce, um 100.000 Scoville schlägt.

Saucen in dem Bereich sind immer Extrakt-Saucen. Und da gibt es einige, sehr viel schärfere Saucen, als dieses englische "0815-Sößchen". Da Bomb Final Answer ist z.B. auch schärfer (1,5 Mio. SHU), ebenso wie Blair´s 3 A.M., die ebenfalls mit 1,5 Mio. SHU reinhaut.

So ist das mal wieder nur billige Werbung und E&T ist (mal wieder) darauf herein gefallen.
 
Jaja - ich gehe eigentlich auch davon aus, dass diese Sause tatsächlich kein Extrakt ist.
Und dafür sind dann 1,2 recht ordentlich.

Ich habe mir das mal auf der englischen Seite durchgelesen. Nicht die Sauce hat 1.2 Mio SHU, sondern angeblich die Infinity Chili. Mal wieder falsch übersetzt von E&T (auch nix neues mehr bei denen).

Allerdings findet man auch kein einziges offizielles Messergebnis zur Infinity. Nur auf englischen Seiten von Zeitungen und ein paar englischen Chiliheads sind diese Angaben zu finden, aber nirgends etwas offizielles von einem Institut. Alle diese Seiten geben auch "FireFood" als Quelle an. Wie vertrauenswürdig das ist, wird sich zeigen.
Die Engländer behaupten ja gern alle paar Jahre, sie hätten die schärfste Sorte. Das war schon mit der Dorset Naga so, aber auch in Indien bei der PC-1 wurde behauptet, sie wäre die Schärfste. Da wurden dann einfach nicht kalibrierte Geräte verwendet, die dann natürlich alle möglichen Werte anzeigen können. Keine der Sorten konnte bei einer Überprüfung auch nur annähernd die behaupteten Ergebnisse erreichen. Vermutlich ist die Infinity also genau so eine Luftnummer, wie damals die Red Savina, die ja ihre 577k SHU auch nie offiziell reproduzieren konnte.

Der Typ tut ja nur so als würde er abbeissen. Erst lecken und dann das Spitzerl abbeissen. Nicht mutig. :P Aber ich würd auch nicht das ganz Ding kauen.... :hot:
 
Hi, ich habe mal nen Bekannten aus Australien gefragt, was er von der "Infinity" hält.
Er hat recht viel Ahnung (ev. kennt ihn wer von youtube) und er hat selbst eine Chilisamenzucht namens thehippyseeds.com

Also ich stell mal seine orginale Antwort per Mail hier rein, für den der nicht so gut englisch spricht (und ich gebe zu ich brauch für so ne email auch 20 min um sie gut zu verstehen, denn sein englisch ist echt krass) versuch ichs mal kurz zusammen zu fassen:

Er meint im Prinzip sieht die Infinity aus wie eine Trinidat Scorpion morouga.
Er hat selbst Samen dieser TS und wird die nächste Saison anbauen und testen, also bei uns wäre das Frühling (Südhalbkugel ist die Ernte ja 6 Monate zeitversetzt) und auch Samen der Infinity, die ihm noch jemand zusenden wird.

they are Hot as they are a 7 pod x Scorpion (id say by looking at
them) BUTTT they are a 7 Pod x Scorpion AND scorpions are Hotter, the
TS morouga is basically the Infinity as Its a 7 pod x scorpion and

he was going to send me some last year to test but couldn't send fresh
1's so didn't THEN found out they were Hot, got them tested and saying
HOTTEST in world

YES as scorps not been tested so will see then.. PLUS had 20 people go
"i have the Hottest and Hotter than the scorp" but not plus most of
the People havent grown Scorps, Its Like Nagas.. since 2004 "they are
all the same" the guinness says the Bhut is the Hotest.. the Bih from
Frontal Agritech also has SHU up on net and its Hotter than than the
Bhut. BUT as every1 thinks they the same "The Bhut or as its also
known, bih, morich, serpent chilli, ghost pepper" EVEN though 2 diff
SHU's are up, They are the Same

The Frontal Agritech people were so hammered by the Bhut, think they
call it the Assamese Bhut.. CAUSE THEY ARE ALL THE SAME...

• “Bhut Jolokia” and “Bih Jolokia” have different genetic structure
based on comparison of DNA fragment and sequence data using 3
molecular techniques employed across six of the 12 Capsicum chromosomes.
• “Bih Jolokia” genetic structure is highly homologous with C.chinense
and C.frutescens species whereas “Bhut Jolokia” is structurally more
closely linked with C.annuum species.
• Reduced crop load in “Bhut Jolokia” as compared with “Bih Jolokia”
may be linked to genetic self incompatibility.
• Continued research comparing such varieties and their closely
related native landraces will prove to be vital in understanding
evolutionary relationships that may be useful in overcoming

Ich glaube nicht, dass die Infinity Chili schärfer als die Bhut Jolokia ist, da diese Behauptungen nur von Seiten der Engländer kommen und noch dazu kommt, dass es dieses Video schon seit 1.April 2010 gibt und nur ca. 2700 Leute sich das Video auf youtube angesehen haben.
Wäre diese Chili also wirklich schärfer als eine Bhut Jolokia würden die Engländer auf jeden Fall auf einen Eintrag im Guiness Buch der Rekorde bestehen, außerdem wäre diese Chili dann viel bekannter geworden und wir hätten auch früher von ihr erfahren.

Vielleicht hat ein Kumpel von dem Mann aus dem Video die Chili in eine Blairs 2am Reserve getunkt und deshalb wundert sich der Mann warum es so scharf ist.
