RE: BareMig DK 2014 27/9. Season is over... Almost!

Great pictures. :clapping:

I'm sorry that I don't know, but what ist "Helmut" for a variety? ;)

RE: BareMig DK 2014 27/9. Season is over... Almost!

Thanks Guenter
I have actually no idea. The seeds come from a guy in a book store in Trier, who went on vacation in Portugal... According to Jerry it might be an annuum... It is not very big, and the pods just sit so close that I have never seen anything like it! Definately a keeper here :D

Looks great! Zimbabwe gives you a lot fruits  !

Thank you! Yes it does, and the plant is so little! Some of the other plants I have had this summer has been really big and still has not given as much fruit as this one :P:D

RE: BareMig DK 2014 27/9. Season is over... Almost!

Beautiful plants!
I like the Taormina and Zimbabwe Bird. They remind me of my Rawit. Despite their small size they look very lush and healthy and seem to produce massive amounts of pods.
I'm not such a fan of those smaller pods themselves as they contain to many seeds in relation to pod size.
What do you use them for? Do they all go into the dryer for powder?

Ooops, I am so sorry Roland, have not been much online lately and just realised that I did not answer you! :undecided: Thank you for your comment, yes the Taormina and Zimbabwe Bird were really cool and beautyful plants and has given lots of fruit. They were actually all turned into nice looking ristras, and now hang in the kitchen ready to use for the cooking this winter  Guess it is time for a final update really soon, before the harvest gets used, already several of the not so productive chilis have dissapeared... Most of the harvest went into the dryer and stand in glasses waiting :) Pics soon.

Ok, here goes, never posted pics of the harvest, now I finally got around to it :whistling: I have to admit that a few glasses of dried chilis have been used up in the kitchen already... But here is the rest of what this great summer brought :)

My chilis 2014 :)

A few maybe Peruvian Purple and a Bangkok Weekend Market plant are trying to survive the not very friendly temperature on the stairs, I do not have high hopes for them but try to keep them alive... if they make it I will take pics in the spring. Planning of the 2015 season has slowly started...

That was all for now. Have a great evening everyone :)

Hello Lotte,
this looks great:thumbup:.
With the whole dry chili you can bridge laxly up to the next harvest.
Beef jerkey looks just delightful. Really commonly, according to a big photo. One once to take a piece of it,but it does not work:ranting::nono1:.
At least I also have Soleier at home.
Ristras also look once more very good;).
Many greetings
Norbert

Everything just looks so delicious!
The filled glasses and especially the ristras really add colour to this dull time of the year.

Velbekomme! ;)
